Welcome to “Caffè Amarcord”, a vibrant crossroads where every face has a story and every greeting hides a history. In this upbeat and soul-stirring performance, our ensemble brings to life a tapestry of characters — from the weary traveler passing through to the local who has seen it all. Watch as the different characters collide in a beautiful mess of hidden loves, old rivalries, and unexpected secrets. It’s a celebration of the human spirit that balances sharp humor with those quiet, “slice-of-life” moments that remind us why we’re all connected.

BIO

With a degree in Physics Engineering and a career as an actor dating back to 2003, Rui Pedro Neto combines analytical precision with creative spontaneity. Since 2018, he has become a steady presence in the Lisbon improv scene, collaborating with key figures such as André Sobral, Luana Proença, as well as Stephen Thornton with whom he performed in long-form improv shows, like Bad J. Jr. His artistic journey is defined by a strong physical component and the exploration of Clowning, having worked with César Gouvêa at the LisVegas Fest, where he deepened the intersection between clowning and improvisation. Rui leverages his physical expressiveness to build multi-dimensional characters, focusing on tools that allow actors to listen “with more than just their ears.” An active participant in international festivals including Italy and Netherlands, Rui has also been sharing his expertise as a teacher at the Irreverente Festival, in Lisbon.
